"The Kiss"

” The kiss”, Alfred Eisenstaedt, 1945

This photography was taken for Alfred Eisenstaedt on 1945 during the celebration for the end of the Second World War is led for United States and Japan. This photography shows us a kiss between a marine and a nurse because this is a spontaneous celebration for the end of the war.

The American people are euphoric for this historic event and all celebrate in the streets for the American victory. In this moment the Alfred’s eye take this photography and this action stay also an icon in the world history.

I like this photography because this kiss is the icon of the end the Second World War, which it was very bloody and many people were hurt for this macabre event. The kiss is the main of the peace and tranquillity in the world and the confidence between the people, although we are unknown. The photography is the moment that an artist stole and mean very much that an only few words.

  4. I don't like this photo, I think is so faked, like in the movies. It doesn't look like a fortuitous photograph. And I don't like kisses (jajaja just kidding).

    Good post! Take care :)
